If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

I don't need another thing to keep dust- and fingerprint-free, Gigabyte.

yeah it matches my grill made out of pure fake diamonds and gold. it really suits the style of someone who wants a 28 core 192gb pc i think

It's for the aging oil sheikh who doesn't actually know how to use a PC, but if he's going to buy one, he wants it to be the best. It can be presented to him on delivery, and then placed in a closet.

I fully expect this kit to cost at least as much as the Xeon itself.

How many carats is your RAM?

Is it just me or is G.Skill customer service terrible? I need one of these RAM kits for a build and it is now almost 3 months since they announced.

It's almost May and you still can't purchase it. W-3175X and motherboards are readily available. EK has CPU water blocks in stock. Asetek is following GSkill's lead and their cooler is backordered everywhere (although it's so poorly engineered it's not worth the $399 asking price).

I've been checking Newegg multiple times a day for weeks. I Sent an email asking about availability and, if I can't purchase the matched 6-channel kit anytime soon, could they offer suggestions on whether I could get 2 or 3 highly binned kits and use them reliably? 5 days later and I have no response. Sent them a message on twitter since their admin is active daily, no response.

Gave up waiting and ordered a 8x16GB 3833MHz TridentZ kit anyway but I'm on the verge of returning it. In my experience if a company won't acknowledge you before they have your money chances are it's going to be even worse when you need help or a warranty replacement down the road.

I had terrible luck with Corsair ram in the past (5+ years ago) but their 6-channel matched Vengeance LPX RAM is available and G.Skill's customer support has been terrible. Well, non-existent.

G.Skill makes some of the best (likely THE best) memory so I hope this is a just a fluke. After all, I'm only aggravated because I can't buy it!

Royal is correct. Need to have that royal bank account to justify this purchase. But it is absolutely gorgeous. If you are going to make your computer top shelf for the fleeting moment that your kit is bleeding edge then why not go all out.
